‘Tis the Season for Family Pictures!!! Sweat. Tears. Convincing. Sun in our Face. Rushing…because KIDS, or maybe because I now have 15 minutes left to do hair, makeup, and fly there! But somehow we always do them! And the hubs so graciously accepts the deal-once a year! At least now we can’t say we should of done that right? 🙂
THE OUTFITS:
We recently had our annual family pictures done by the talented Maritza from Ellie Anne Photography. She beautifully captured my vision for this shoot. Our mommy-and-me dresses are from Ivy City Co. I fell in love with the lace and fine feminine details of the pleats when I first saw this Mommy-and-Me set! I chose white because I wanted us to be able to wear the dresses for just about every season-especially in the Spring and Summer! Brynnie and I like to match, but have never owned matching dresses. She’s a petite little thing, and has finally upgraded to a 2T, so this is our first set of matching dresses, and I am in love! Little bit has cried twice because she didn’t want to take her dress off! Thank you Ivy City Co for the beautiful dresses!
The boys are wearing matching black and white plaid to add a little pattern to our solid. Bryce’s pocket plaid is from Old Navy while Drew’s I ordered from Amazon.
LOCATION:
What is the craziest place you’ve ever taken pictures at? I really wanted the “rustic tall yellow grass” look for these pictures, and behind the “Discount Tire” on Fry Rd. did the trick. If you’re from Cypress, you might just know which one I’m talking about. My cousin Lisa scouted this gem of a spot, a day before our shoot. It was muddy and wet from days before, but our photographer worked her magic. I’ve learned that even the smallest hole in the wall places can give a picture a scenery worth framing!
FAMILY: All I want for Christmas is YOU!
Everything I need is right here and I seriously couldn’t ask for more! Family pictures is the gift I have given myself this Christmas. I am a sucker for them and have been doing them for the past 9 years now, ever since our first maternity Christmas shoot, with Bryce. I love framing them and freezing moments that last a life time! Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas this Season! Now, off to order Christmas Cards so they can arrive before the 25th!
