While being a working mom and raising two little ones, routines have become my best friend! Today I’m sharing with you Brynnie’s bath time routine. If you have a busy 2 year old or toddler on your hands, you might just find one or two helpful hints!
Brynnie LOVES baths! After a long day of play, a bath can be my saving grace with this busy little body!
Water calms her down, and allows her to sit and play while getting ready for bedtime.
We have always done bath time right before bed, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I still do this with Bryce and I can promise you it is soothing for both adults and kids.
After dinner, Brynnie knows what comes next. We head to Mommy’s bath, and run the bath (bubbles are typically requested). I let her play with bubbles for a short 3-5 minutes before beginning our bath.
As far as shampoo and wash, I am loving JOHNSON’S® Baby COTTONTOUCH™ Wash & Shampoo. I’ve used JOHNSON’S® baby products since Bryce was a baby, and I love everything about the gentleness of the products. With sensitive skin being an issue for my kids, Johnson’s Baby has been there for us every step of the way! I love that it is the same brand that my mom used on me when I was a baby too.
JOHNSON’S® is one of my favorite brands that I trust and love. The products are so mild, gentle and allergy tested. They are all also paraben- and phthalate-free, as well as free of dyes.
JOHNSON’S® products now have 50% fewer ingredients, that are over 90% naturally derived.
They are simpler, gentler products that 9 out of 10 parents would recommend. I am a huge fan of their new and improved, inside and out products. JOHNSON’S® continues to be the #1 choice of Hospitals, now more gentle than ever.
The COTTONTOUCH™ Wash and shampoo is specifically designed for newborn’s delicate skin, and it’s perfect for toddlers too. One of my favorite things about it, is that it is 2-in-1, wash and shampoo- talk about money saver! It leaves Brynnie’s skin feeling silky soft!
Our bath time routine is not complete until we lather with JOHNSON’S® Baby Pink Lotion. I love the gentle baby smell it leaves. Brynnie loves putting on “crema” after we dry off. She will even ask for more!
Our bathtime routine typically ends with me giving Brynnie some Cheerios or light snack while combing her hair.
She is a very busy body, so keeping her still is always a challenge. If she’s not snacking on something, she is reading a book, while I comb her hair.
Detangling those toddler locks has never been easier than with JOHNSON’S® No More Tangles Detangling Spray. A little goes a long way with this miracle worker.
Once I’m done styling Brynnie’s hair she tries to run away from me in the bed. And knowing she won’t go far, she has an outburst of giggles! Mommy always wins though, and so I catch her to change into her PJ’s.
I really do feel like no matter what age, bath time is such a great way to relax and unwind the kids before bedtime. It’s worked for us since the day we came home from the hospital, and it still works for us now. It’s also a great way to give the kids a familiar routine when you are traveling or not sleeping at home.
By the way, I purchase my JOHNSON’S® products at Kroger, that way I don’t have to worry about a separate trip just to pick up essentials for Brynn. You can rely on Kroger and JOHNSON’S® Baby and get everything in one place! Convenience and time saving tips is huge when you have littles.
P.S. I also wanted to share that beginning 9/2, you can save $1 on any 1 JOHNSON’S® lotion, wash, or hair care item. You can load this offer to your card when you sign into Kroger.com.
I hope you have found this post helpful in some way!
