Hey guys! If you caught my Insta stories last weekend you may have seen me posting about the “Tree Giveaway” Event in Spring, Texas. If you missed it, I have left it on my Highlights under “Springwoods.” I wanted to give you all a recap of all the FUN and tell you about the shops and restaurants at The Market in Springwoods Village.
And since this is Thanksgiving Week, I am taking this time to be grateful for all the blessings and opportunities I have been given, but most of all I am thankful for my loving and supportive family that so graciously buckles up for all my wild blogging adventures!
The event this weekend was FREE and family-friendly! It was a special Tree Planting Season Celebration & Tree Giveaway in the Courtyard between MOD Pizza and B.Good Houston. In partnership with Trees for Houston, The Market at Springwoods Village had 500 trees to giveaway to the community. They gave away 322 trees, on a first-come, first-serve basis, and kept the other trees on reserve for an Earth Day event for next year! Trees for Houston is a non-profit organization dedicated to planting, protecting, and promoting, trees all over the greater Houston area. I love events that give back to the community!
There was LIVE music by Max Flinn, a talented Houston native and Texas Country musician. It was my first time listening to his music, and I absolutely loved it! The kids were dancing to it on the courtyard. There were small bites by B.Good, a delicious vegan restaurant, beverages, a photo booth and kid’s face-painting by J & D Entertainment, photo ops, caricature art, and earth-friendly giveaways by Amborella Organics, a seed-bearing lollipops company with edible herbs and flowers!
Brynnie asked for a glittery “Frozen crown” as her face-painting while Bryce wanted, “Texans on Fire!” So suiting for both of them. J & D Entertainment did amazing on creating this art work! It was the kid’s favorite booth!
A visit to The Market at Springwoods Village wouldn’t be all the FUN, without the photo opportunities. Brynn loved the balloons displays and balloon arch. She wanted to take them all home! But I had to explain to her, we can just touch them, take the pictures, and keep the memories forever!
During the event, we walked around, visited the booths and vendors, and absorbed the sunshine and live music. All the vendors were so friendly and welcoming, it made us feel like home. We visited Banfield Pet Hospital, Cherry Blow Dry Bar, Natural Paws, Edible Arrangements, B. Good, and had Torchy’s Taco’s for lunch! Our day there ended with ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery and it couldn’t have been more amazing!
Brynnie claimed she was a Frozen Butterfly next to this adorable mural! The photo booth caught our only family picture of all four of us together, and even printed it out for us. If you want to see more about this cute shopping area, check out the hashtag #SHOPMASV and more of what this shopping area has to offer. After lunch, we ventured off to the Astros “Take it Back” Mural by @artboy76, commissioned by @muros.co. (Muros). This was by far, Bryce and Drew’s favorite!
Overall, this family-friendly event was super fun! If you have not visited The Market at Springwoods Village yet, you need to check it out! They have events going on in their courtyard all the time. Their next event is Saturday, December 7 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm in conjunction with Kroger’s Annual Open House. Come ready to share that Holiday spirit with cookies, Santa, and the family! Don’t forget your camera! You don’t want to miss it!
