SMILE BIG because its Friday!!! Have you ever gotten your teeth professionally whitened before? And if you said no, have you used whitening strips? As many of you saw, I took this poll on my Instagram stories last week. And 42% of you said “yes,” while 58% said “no, but have used whitening strips.” That eased my curiosity, because I felt like I was the only one in the world that had not gotten this treatment done. But I had been contemplating it for months! Recently turning 30, meant spending a little more time on self-care while spoiling myself with a brighter smile. I am so excited to share with you my first experience at professional teeth whitening with Naturally White.
Yes, YOU DESERVE TO SHINE and brighten your smile while boosting your confidence while at it! That is the reason why I decided to give this natural treatment a try! When I was contacted by their marketing agent to come come in for a whitening treatment, I started researching their website for all the answers to my questions prior to saying yes.
What I really wanted to know was, “Will my teeth be sensitive afterwards?” I was sold when I was told by one of their specialists, that there was zero sensitivity due mainly because “they use plant and mineral based ingredients.” Many reviews on their social pages said the same positive feedback. Read on to see how it works.
HOW IT WORKS:
- A mouth retractor was placed to help hold my lips away from my teeth. Vitamin E and Aloe was applied to my gum line to help protect and moisturize my gums during the whitening process. I also applied Vitamin E on my lips, so that they would keep moisturized.
- Next, the whitening gel was carefully applied to my teeth using a brush-on applicator, that looked like a pen with a brush.
- Finally, the whitening specialist positioned a Naturally White accelerating light to help speed the whitening process.
- After 20 minutes, I rinsed the whitening gel off my teeth with water. We repeated this step of the whitening process two more times, giving me a total whitening time of 60 minutes. That’s it! I’m done!
*Disclaimer: We tried to take this without any natural light, filters, or indoor lighting shinning, but a camera is still a camera, and pictures are never 100% accurate.
MY RESULTS:
ZERO SENSITIVITY!!!! And I mean that, you guys! It felt like when you get your teeth cleaned at the dentist. I’m not talking deep cleaned, just cleaned. There might be a little tiny sensitivity a couple hours after, but nothing that will stop you from eating or doing what you normally do.
I really wanted to improve the shade of my bottom teeth, as they were the most yellow. I was able to see a HUGE difference immediately after my treatment in my over all smile. I would say at least 5 shades brighter! The final results did not happen until 24 hours after the treatment. I was so excited to wake up the next morning to my pearly whites! You guys, my teeth have not looked this white since college, and that was 10 years ago!
HOME WHITENING KIT:
If you would rather pick up their Home Whitening Kit that is made with the same safe products at the studio location, that is an option too!
*If you do end up going, don’t forget to leave a review on Google, Yelp, or Facebook to take home a FREE WHITENING PEN!
I gave my whitening pen to my mom to try!
THE INVESTMENT:
Some of you on my stories asked about the price tag. For a treatment like the one I did, they have a special right now for $149.00. Also, if you come again a second time, you will receive 50% off your treatment!
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I WHITEN MY TEETH:
This depends entirely on your lifestyle. I personally, do not drink coffee, red wines, or super acidic drinks that will cause staining. I know, crazy! I’m probably the only teacher and mom that doesn’t drink 10 cups of coffee on the daily. One Starbucks frap every now-and-then is good enough for me. So, for people like me, they recommend getting it done once a year to refresh. If you are a daily coffee drinker, then twice a year is recommended to see and maintain results.
Thanks for reading about my first teeth whitening experience with Naturally White. So what you think? You’ll give it a try? Let me know if you have any questions or are thinking about getting your teeth whitened!
